Proof of Effort, Mini Pouch
My artifact is mini pouch with a picture of Gian, is one of the Doraemon characters. It is rounded rectangle and is about size of iPhone8. It is small enough to fit in your hand. It is mainly made of cloth. However, it is slick to the touch so it is coated with something. Its color is ivory, orange and purple, main color is ivory. It has a golden fastener. The front of the pouch is drawn Gian's face as a simpleified and the back is drawn Gian's forelock, one of the his charm points as a simpleified.
I belonged to volleyball club when I was a senior in high school. I retired from club activity about the month of June. We hosted the wrap-up party. Then, we were talking about buying something matching so we bought it with members of same activity club as me. We hesitate whether to go with something volleyball related or value of cute. However, since it's "retired", we have decided not to do anything volleyball relared. There were the pouches in AEON Mall Niigata Minami. I have fond memories of the club because I spent a total of six years with the members of that club, both junior high school and high school. First, we thought about what to buy. We wanderd around AEON Mall looking for things to buy. Suddenly, I caught sight of the cute pouches.
One of the people said,
"I like the idea of buying these together."
There are pouches of various Doraemon characters in the store. We chose the pouch which character was cuter.
We said,
"This character is so cute!"
"This color is good!"
"I want to buy this character!"
I chose Gian because I like orange and I found it particularly attractive. I like it very much. This experience taught me that I work hard something, even the smallest things can turn into memories.
In Japan, this heavy workload of teachers in club activities is a problem.
Currently, there are few teachers who can coach. Therefore, many members of club activities are taught by outside coach. However, teachers need to lead students during tournament. Tournament often take place on holidays, requiring teachers to work on holidays.
In fact, on average per month, the athletic club advisors work about 90 hours of overtime for junior high school teachers and 68 hours for high school teachers. According to Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare, the standard for occuoational accidents, called "karoushirain" is 80 hours of overtime work per month. Junior high school teachers exceed that standard, and high school teachers are close to it.
It is important to make sure allowances are made, rather than enforcing "worthwhile".
Thank you for reading.

Hi, Arisa! Your mini pouch is very cute! Especially, Gian's face is so cute. Culb members overcome hardships together and spend a lot of time together, so a strong bond is born, isn’t it? It's wonderful that everyone buys the same things! I can see you were a very good team. In addition, I was able to understand the problem of teachers well by being able to know the time spent by teachers in club activities with concrete data. Considering the burden on teachers, I think we should reduce club activities on holidays and hire outside coaches.
返信削除Hi, Arisa! Your Gian pouch is very cute!! I know you have fond memories of six years you spent with your club members. It was a story that showed the bond between the club members and you. I thought the heavy burdn on teachers in club activities is one of the ploblems in Japan. Teachers usually work overtime in their profession, so I don't think it's necessary for them to supervise club activities.
返信削除Hello, Arisa! Your pouch is so cute! I knew it right away becuase it is a famous character in Japan. I used to participate in club activities too, but I'm so envios becuae I don't have matching items like you. The problem you think is very serious. At the junior high school I went to, there was a rule that Sundays were the principle and club activities were closed. I think it is becessary to set the rules firmly like this.

返信削除We've all been through the same hardships, and buying matching items gives us a sense of accomplishment and unity for all the hard work we've done.
As was the case in my high school, I have seen many teachers work every day as both club advisors and teaching staff. Unlike other jobs, teaching is a job that requires the most attention because it has an ingrained custom of taking club activities for granted.
Hello, Arisa! I thought your pouch is cute and useful! I read your story, I can see that your same club member is on good terms. Therefore, I understand why you value Gian pouch.
